Wall Street losses accelerate in premarket

As of today, the American stock indices lost more than one percent in premarket on Monday. The Dow Jones was around 1.4% in the red with a score of approximately 23887 points, the S&P 500 was with a score of 2835 points around 1.3% in the minus and the technology index Nasdaq was with a score of 8731 points approximately 1.1% in the minus. 

Shares on major European exchanges were initially higher in early trade session, but then turned negative in the further course.

The European leading index Euro Stoxx 50 was last listed at 2850 points, 1.8 percent down. In early Monday trading, the leading German index DAX gained 0.55 percent to 10,684.03 points, but is currently in the range of 10,500 points at around – 1.8%. The French Cac 40 recently fell by 1.2 percent to around 4,443 points. The British FTSE 100 lost around 1.7 percent to 5724 points.

Asia mostly higher after PBOC cuts interest rate

Equities on Asian stock markets traded mixed on Monday after People’s Bank of China cuts interest rates. In Tokyo, the Nikkei-225 ended the trade down 1.15 percent to 19669 points, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng went up by 0.21% to 24330 points, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.5% and the Shenzhen Composite Index with the 300 most important stocks on the Chinese mainland stock exchanges was 0.36% up. The Kospi Composite in South Korea fell 0.84% and the S&P/ASX 200 in Australia closed 1.31% in the green.

And finally, a look at the material markets:

US Crude Oil falls around 10% an oversupply fears. Platinum is currently trading at $ 780, gaining around 0.7%. The price of palladium is currently around $ 2180, about one percent higher than at the last close of trading.
